The Eiffel Tower is one of the world’s most iconic and recognised buildings. Measuring 324 metres or 1,063 ft tall it dominates the skyline from every angle of the city. The Eiffel Tower was also the second most Instagrammed place in the world in 2017.
Construction started in 1887 and was completed just two years later in 1889. It features three levels, all of which are accessible to visitors. You can climb the 704 steps through the first viewing level up to the second viewing level, where you can then get a lift to the third level; the highest viewing platform in Europe and home to the a private apartment for the designer Gustave Eiffel. There are even a couple of restaurants to eat at. All levels provide an amazing view of the city; however, there is one thing missing in all of those views. The Eiffel Tower itself.
